Still need more reasons to join? Our long time membership director, Rosemary Fodor, explains why your membership is so valuable to us!

First of all, the membership fees allow our club (CHARMD) to pay for the booth and the advertisements (including the actual booth graphics, poster boards and media equipment, brochures, etc) at events that we take part in.  The membership dues pay for the entries and stabling fees for these events as well as a small budget for team jackets or other expenses incurred with those events.

We usually have a breed show (including this year, 2022's virtual show!) and membership dues help pay for the judges and ribbons, as well as the rental of the facility etc.  This keeps our individual members' entry and class fees extremely low - thus allowing everyone to have the opportunity to attend a bonafide horse show (even if they don't normally show...) and gain experience from other members and judge's critique.

We like to offer members the opportunity for affordable clinics throughout the year as well.  We have had drill team clinics, horsemanship and riding skills clinics, obstacle work and recently introduction to long lining and driving.  Members can participate and enjoy and also learn!

Traditionally, CHARMD has been involved with such amazing events as the Calgary Stampede, Battle of the Breeds at Spruce Meadows, Saskatchewan Equine Expo and the Mane Event.  And post pandemic, we are looking forward to offering members the opportunity to participate in events like these once again.

Our club is made up of members that are like minded, are committed to showcasing the breed and it's characteristics and most importantly, we like to have fun and enjoy each other's company!

Your membership is important to our club and we are constantly needing new members to join.  Not only to keep our club fresh and new ideas coming in, but to also sustain our budget for all of the events our members can take part in, or have the opportunity to host.
